Raymond Community Forest (RCF) is a 356 acre forest in Raymond, ME. With 4 miles of multi-use trails, hikers can experience great southwestern views from Pismire Bluff or enjoy a walk in the lower forest to see vernal pools and learn from interpretive signage.
Raymond Community Forest offers a wide range of hiking experiences. Take to the loop trails in the lower forest for a walk through young forests, or head up the Pismire Bluff trail for great views from Pismire Mountain. The loop trail at the top of Pismire offers a beautiful walking experience through a hardwood forest. Additional uses in the lower forest include mountain biking, hunting, and trapping.
This land is within the traditional and unceded territory of the Abenaki, a member tribe of the Wabanaki Confederacy. The Abenaki First Nations of Odanak and Wôlinak maintain reservations along the St. Francis and St. Lawrence Rivers in the Canadian province of Quebec, where they sought refuge following colonial warfare in the Saco, Presumpscot, and Androscoggin River watersheds during the 17th and 18th centuries.
Parking & Trailhead Location - 138 Conesca Road, Raymond, Maine- There are no 'you are here' signs so please take a photo of the map at the kiosk before you head on your hike.
- The parking area is suitable for approximately 15 cars and is plowed for winter use and the trailhead has an information kiosks with maps and use guidelines.
- There are no benches, restrooms or trash cans on the property.
