Maine Trails Bond Passes!

On November 5th, Maine voters passed the Maine Trails Bond, investing $30 million in support of the maintenance, design, and construction of trails across the state over the next five years. The funding will be available to nonprofits, municipalities, and other divisions of government to help build and care for motorized, nonmotorized and multi-use trails.

We are proud to be one of more than 500 organizations, businesses, and towns across Maine who signed on in support of this bipartisan effort. LELT’s Matt Markot also testified in support of the bond effort in Augusta.

The work of ensuring everyone has access to safe and well maintained trails in their community is a strategic priority for LELT. Thank you for loving and supporting Maine trails and communities!
